Once upon a time—and even today—the Helikon Palace and its exhibitions not only hold beautiful artifacts and fascinating stories, but also a magical fairy-tale world. Children can discover the stories of Domonkos the Crane, Bonifác the Owl, and their friends in the Keszthely Castle Tales storybook, through museum storytelling sessions, and in the short stories available on this page.

  • STORYBOOKS FROM THE FAIRY-TALE WORLD OF THE KESZTHELY PALACE

    You can meet the fairy-tale residents of the Keszthely Palace not only during storytelling sessions and in short films, but also in storybooks. We now recommend two storybooks for children and adults who love tales.

    At Christmas, the whisk disappeared from the kitchen of Sebastian Samuel the Hedgehog! Ciprián the Bee rushed to help and set out to find it. Where it turns up and why it disappeared can be discovered in the storybook Where Did the Whisk Go?

    The residents and friends of Keszthely Castle Tales once again wish all fairy-tale lovers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with a short animated film this year.

    Story sessions at the Carriage Exhibition of Helikon Palace:

    Story session in the Helikon Palace park:

    Special storytelling sessions themed around holidays. Before Easter and Christmas, Helikon Palace welcomes children and accompanying teachers with festive programs in addition to the themed story sessions.

    PLAYFUL WORKSHEETS

    In the December booklets of Keszthely Castle Tales, both preschoolers and young schoolchildren can find interesting tasks. Each day features a new activity requiring a pencil, colored pencils, or even a dice. Open them—and download if needed! We wish you an enjoyable time completing the tasks.
