Historical tour in the palace
Step by step, visitors can get acquainted with the people who once lived within the old walls through the palace’s interior exhibition. We recall historical events that even made their way into history books. The books on the library shelves demonstrate the importance and weight of knowledge.
After the guided tour, students participate in a quiz competition in groups. At the end, results are announced, and the top three teams receive prizes.

“Aristocratic Travels, Travel Adventures” Exhibition (Amazon House Visitor Centre)
Travels of past centuries – with a little help
The history of travel from past centuries comes to life on land, water, and in the air. Visitors take part in an imaginary journey from Keszthely—from preparation through the journey to leisure activities. Topics include what to pack in a travel trunk, rules to follow during travel, and what to do if your automobile won’t start.

Carriage Exhibition
Journey into the world of carriages and coaches
What is the connection between the village of Kocs and the word “coach”? Can you swing in a carriage? With the help of the exhibition, visitors learn about the history of carriages and discover travel habits of aristocratic life through engaging stories.

Hunting Exhibition
The role of nature conservation and hunting
During this session, participants explore the wildlife of five continents presented in the exhibition. Children learn about Earth’s rich biodiversity and the relationship between nature conservation and hunting. What is the role of hunting and game management? These and other questions are answered during the program.
Creative activity: participants create their own animal track or silhouette stamps and decorations—learning to recognize animal tracks, which are often the only signs we see in nature.

The role of nature conservation and hunting – target shooting competition
After exploring the exhibition and discussing wildlife and conservation, students move to the exhibition’s virtual shooting range. Using realistic laser rifles, they take part in a target shooting competition. Teams collect points, which are tallied at the end, and the winning team receives a prize.

Historical Model Railway Exhibition
Seek and you shall find!
During this program, participants search for marked points of interest (buildings, figures, locations) on a 500 m² model layout and photograph them within a given time. The activity is team-based; those who find all the items receive a reward.

Museum Education Rooms and Art Workshop
The history of photography from the camera obscura to the present
Photography’s more than 100-year history holds many fascinating aspects. Participants learn about generations of cameras, technical solutions, and the evolution of photography—and even take photos using a custom-made camera obscura.
Recommended age group: Grades 5–12
Linocut printing – a traditional graphic technique in practice
Participants learn about printmaking techniques and try linocut printing themselves. This session takes place in the palace’s Contemporary Art Workshop. Students choose from pre-cut linoleum templates, apply ink with a rubber roller, and create prints using a cast-iron press on special paper. Drying time is approximately 1 hour.

Style Hunt in the Palace
Students take guided photographs in the palace park. They search for and capture reliefs and interesting shapes on the palace and surrounding buildings within a set time. The photos are later used to create a collage in the art workshop, which is printed for the group.
